Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Ben and i'm studying Genetics at the University of Manchester. For the past 6 weeks i have been hopping around Asia, with Hong Kong and then The Philippines being next on my list!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To make friends from across the world and gain a local insight into the cities, towns and villages that i may visit! It's also a great way to discover the history, culture and food that a country has too offer.
This may sound like the old cliche 'i love learning and experiencing new things' but its true! and couchsurfing is a great way to achieve this.
Interests
Hiking, camping, lazer quest, when i return home i plan to start learning to play the piano, something i've been interested in doing for years now.
Travel is arguably my main interest and the one that sucks up most of my time and all of my money haha

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - Varies greatly on the mood I'm in and can range from rap and hip hop, to classical to rock to electronic style music. I'll probably like whatever you listen too.
Books - I often forget the names of books i read... but the most recent ones i enjoyed would be: The first fifteen lives of harry august, and the mountains echoed and the catcher in the rye.
Movies - I'm a secret nerd for The Lord of the Rings and I also really like cloud atlas!
T.v - Penny dreadful, Game of Thrones, Farscape, Lost, House M.D
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share
I can help with English, whether it be by practicing the anguage ot teaching some slang from the UK. I can tell you about life in the UK and how it may differ to your home or other countries we may have visited. I've lived in Birmingham and Manchester, I can share my experiences, my charm, my positive attitude.
Learn: About you, your life, your culture, your language, your food, your past travels and your city
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can help with English and even teach the secrets of British slang (which honestly i myself don't really understand). I can talk about life in England I've lived in both a small town near Birmngham and Manchester, the capital of northern england and how it may differ to that in your home country and just generally share my experiences, my charm, my positive attitude.
I would also enjoy learning about you! whether it be your life, your culture, your language, your food, your past travels..
