About Me

I was born and raised in Baltimore County, and I ended up staying in Baltimore for college. I just graduated with a degree in public health, having specialized in international health, and am pursuing a career in military medicine. I will be taking an EMT certification course this upcoming fall, but will be taking the entire summer off from my studies to drive across the country: Baltimore to Atlanta to San Francisco to Vancouver to Boston and back (with many stops in between of course). Keeping an open mind and a positive attitude, I'm super excited to exploring the country, seeing old friends, meeting new people, living a simpler lifestyle, and visiting as many of the national parks as I can!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently taking a coast to coast road trip this summer and would love to meet new people from across the country!! My friend had recommended this to me as a means of making the trip more memorable and engaging with new people, especially since there aren't many hostels in the US.

This will be my first time using couchsurfer, and unfortunately I will not be able to host in the foreseeable future given that I'll be living with my parents for the next two years. Hopefully I'll have great experiences though and hopefully will be in the position to open my home soon!

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy musicals and feel-good music, I watch all kinds of movies, and tbh I don't read books that much other than class textbooks. And even then, I really don't end up touching my textbooks by the end of the semester.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was visiting my friend in New Jersey over the summer and while we were kayaking, my glasses fell in the river. After unsuccessful attempts to finding them, I had to call my parents for both of them to come pick up me and my car, a three-hour drive from Baltimore (I have terrible eyesight, and I didn't bring a spare).

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not exactly sure how to answer this category, but I know a lot of fun facts that I'm more than happy to share. And if for any reason this comes up, I was a college pole vaulter and can answer any questions about the event :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

In addition to sharing stories, I like collecting art and I picked up a few canvases to share from Annapolis during an art festival (the first stop on my road trip). I also love trying restaurants and would always be down to treat my host to a meal or dessert!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Mexico, South Africa
