About Me

I've been living in London recently but I am moving to Barcelona soon to do a masters degree in ecological economics at UAB beginning in September.

Estoy trabajando en mejorar mi Espagnol y Catalan, pero no esta muy bien en el momento.

I would love to get to know people in the city who share similar interests and values I'd particualrly like to meet people involved in self organising, activism around economic security, anti-gentrification, commoning, degrowth and radical muncipalism, and get to know more about the arts and music scenes in the city.

I grew up in Devon, then I lived in Manchester for 6 years in various houseshares, I lived in an old Victorian primary school for a bit, then I lived in a field in a canvas bell tent for 3 months whilst helping my friend build a little wooden off grid house. I've been living in Peckham in London for 2 years.

I have worked as a barista, waiter, local government campaigner, seaweed harvester, futures trend tracker, economics action researcher and most recently a podcast producer: https://soundcloud.com/rsaradio

I would be very grateful to anyone willing to host me for any length of time during August who can point me to good things in the city whilst I find a permanent house share. I'm a good cook and can cook a lot of healthy meals for you in return : )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had a couple of couchsurfers come to stay in places I've lived where my housemates were on couchsurfing. I like cooking and eating with people and sharing things in general, its a good feeling to be able to help people in little ways and to be on the receiving end as well. Sharing things saves money so we can have more time for better things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Me and some friends once took old bikes and cycled from the south west of England down the west coast of France to the Spanish border over 8 weeks, camping and surfing. We were incredibly slow and it was incredibly fun.
