About Me

Hi! I'm a 20-year-old student from Australia, living/studying in Paris until the end of this year (which is about as wonderful as it sounds). I'm technically a politics student, but I've mostly studied history, philosophy and music so far, and I play a lot of jazz in my spare time, so if that's your thing, I'm always up for jams. I'm hoping to see as much of Europe as I possibly can during my weekends, and I love meeting new people and being part of different places and cultures - especially when those places are only a short train ride away...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet cool people and to find cool places to stay! Wherever I go, I want to find places and spaces that aren't on the Lonely Planet website or in guide books. I like to think I can get along with pretty much anyone, and I always love chances to make friends and have weird, unexpected adventures wherever I go.

(I would love to host you all, but our flat is tiny and we have a strict landlord... I can recommend the 5th arrondissement as a beautiful - if slightly expensive - part of Paris to stay, though.)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: any type of jazz (favourite quote: "if you don't like jazz music, you're listening to the wrong type of jazz music!"), minimalist electronic music, or anything that sounds like this 'tropical house' thing everyone's into these days
Movies: dumb action movies,
Books: most of what I read these days is for university, but I quite like existentialism... or adventure novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wandering around the Outer Hebrides with a terrible, broken rental car, very lost and very happy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some basic jazz music skills, and I'm always up for a good political and/or philosophical conversation (though it's totally fine if you're not!).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Conversation, music, and an openness for anything you're up for.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, England, France
