Overview
About Me
Kia Ora, I'm a sailor, yacht restorer and pole vaulter who loves traveling and making small films. Currently studying marine science at University of Auckland I hope to move towards a career in marine conservation. A kiwi by birth, I've lived most of my life in the states, and in 2016 came back home for university and for a change of scenery. I take opportunities as they come and love keeping myself busy with anything in the outdoors.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a great platform to meet new people and create lifelong friendships all while traveling. Through couchsurfing I aim to make worldwide connections, hear others stories, and share my experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Starting as a minimum wage part-time dockhand, I accomplished, in three years, to work my way to the top of a yachting club in Baltimore MD. By age 18, I was managing a fleet of 30+ boats, and 5 employees.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have many stories I have collected over the years, and am constantly working to add to them. Always up for a good yarn, or a serious discussion on the fluid dynamics of yachts I'll be happy to share what I have with anyone who asks!
What I Can Share with Hosts
For me, my favourite experience while couchsurfing is hearing and sharing stories. I come well equipped with stories to share, but enjoy hearing others even more. Additionally I love working with my hands, and will gladly assist in any projects a host has, from diagnosing a troublesome engine to sewing together a new jumper.
