About Me
Hey I'm Ben
I'm 27 years old and I'm currently living and working in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
I've always been fascinated with the idea of couch surfing but have never tried it, so I guess here goes nothing!
I would like to host some awesome people before I leave Ireland in March to travel in Asia.
Edit: currently in Asia will be back and ready to host around the beginning of September
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Just set this up upon the recommendation of some of my friends, they met some truly awesome people. I love travelling and meeting people from different countries - I'm leaving to go to Asia in March, starting in Japan, and figured that hosting interesting people in my home town could be a fun way to spend my time before I leave.
People with laidback viewpoints and outlooks are most welcome. If you like hearing about Irish music/history and hiking for some sweet views then you're in for a treat!

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Irish history and provide you with a basic or advanced understanding of the current political situation, depending how long you can stay awake for!
I'm very interested in hearing other peoples stories and experieces
Really interesting in showing off the many fantastic pubs of Belfast!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My current day job is selling and leasing pubs in Belfast so I have a pretty decent knowledge of the pub scene. Live music in Belfast is usually excellent, and there's always something happening.
The city is surrounded on one side by hills - Cavehill and Divis - both are among my favourite places to walk my dog, Oscar. Come along he's a friendly lad.
The North Coast of Northern Ireland is extremely scenic, and even though I have been there 100 times or more I never pass up an opportunity to show it to new people. Same can be said for the Mourne Mountains, although the weather is not always good enough for an adventure there!
Our house is quite laidback and we love meeting new and interesting people.
Only 1 house rule...if you stay, you must draw me a postet masterpiece! (*see house pics)
