I'm Ben Oh, and I am currently a 21 year old student at Cornell University in upstate New York studying biology and business. I am originally from Athens, Georgia. So far, I have traveled a little bit in Southeast Asia, but am hoping to broaden my horizons by beginning to explore different parts of the world to gain new experiences, perspectives, and friends along the way.

Some things I like to do in my free time is watch shows like Friends, How I Met Your Mother, or watch random movies I find (literally in any genre). I'm on a dance team at my university, so I've been trying to take classes to improve that skill as well (if any hosts have previous dance experience, I'd love to hear about and maybe even learn).

Basketball is one of my favorite sports to play and watch, but honestly I love sports in general. I also like going out from time to time, so if you're down to have a drink (or not), I'm cool with either!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's really cool how people are so willing to open their homes to strangers and welcome them with open arms. I think that I could learn so much more by staying with the locals, so which is why I'm here on Couchsurfing. This will my first time traveling alone, and hopefully, the first of many. I'm sure everyone says this too haha, but I also hope this will give me valuable experience to host in the future!

I don't know if I'd call this amazing, but long story short, I had to walk 26 miles the day after I graduated from high school.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm pretty outgoing, with interests in a lot of different things like music, dance, history, etc. and really want to immerse myself into learning different cultures and their perspectives. I definitely not one of the people that comes back loud and drunk in the wee hours of the night; I will be extremely respectful of the host and their personal space, as will my manners and cleanliness during my stay. I love going out and exploring downtown areas and doing hikes (anything nature related). In a nutshell, I love having fun and am willing to basically try and do anything.
