About Me

Hi there! I'm a 24 year old Australian guy looking to head around the world for a few years soon. I'd love to host some people at my house to get an understanding of the whole CouchSurfing culture so I can jump right into when I head off!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently planning a round the world trip and plan on using Couchsurfing as much as I can on my travels. I thought I would host some people at home before I go to get a general feel of how it all works and so I can learn the ropes before I set off on my trip.

Also, meeting new people and having the opportunity to show them my city and give them a good time while they are here sounds like great fun to me. From my previous travels I have found that the people you meet are what really makes a memory stand out from the others

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently stuck in a 90's rap phase which i'm struggling to pull myself out of. Although I am a big fan of all sorts of music, especially The Black Keys, The Beautiful Girls and also lots of soundtracks/atmospheric music.

Books would have to be 1984, We, The Brother's Karamazov and A Brave New World. Plenty more to mention but those are some tops for me.

Big fan of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, as well as The Matrix one also. Tarantino movies do good things for me as well as comedies like Pineapple Express etc. The one Australian movie that I would recommend is the comedy 'Ned'.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling through Jordan and visiting the Dead Sea and the Wadi Rum Desert. Absolutely breath-taking and you can even camp with the nomadic Bedouin people under the milky way. Definitely reccomend for anyone.

Here is a link to a photo I took there to give you a sample of what it is like. - https://www.reddit.com/r/EarthPorn/comments/2k2cb0/bedouin_nomads_crossing_the_wadi_rum_desert/

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not too sure what I could teach, although maybe you'll find something in me that I didn't know I had. I am ready and willing to learn as much as I can from any and all guests. I'd love to hear about your travels and any exciting stories or useful tips you've learned along the way. Languages are also something I would love to learn as I hope to get at least a basic understanding of the language of each country I visit when I do my round the world trip.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my house, family and friends. Come along with me to a friends BBQ or maybe a party, they're all very welcoming and would love an interesting guest to tag along. Have dinner at my house with me and my housemates while we sit around chatting, gaming, drinking or whatever. If you are around for a few days, you could tag along with me to my home town of Victor Harbor, a beach town with big waves, surfing, whales, penguins and if we get out to my mums house, we might even get to ride her horses along the beach with hundreds of wild kangaroo.
