About Me

Born and raised in France, I've left my home and country when I was 18 and haven't moved back since. I've been extremely lucky to have the opportunity to live in various parts of the world and meet incredible people who let me into their world, made me laugh, and shared nuggets of wisdom I'll carry with me the rest of my life.

The first thing you'd want to know about me is that I am a very lucky man, and everyday I try to share that luck with the people in my life so they can experience equal or even higher levels of happiness I've been blessed to feel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Are you a traveler or a sightseer?

Sights are only one tiny pearl on a large string of enchantments we get to experience when we travel. To me, CS has opened the doors to new depths of traveling, allowing us to connect, share and challenge our presumptions on the world we live in.

I consider myself a traveler and I will not leave your country until I've experienced the delicate taste of its wonders ;)

Interests

First job right out of college, I took a break from my cubicle and naively asked my manager at the time: "Is that it? I mean, is there anything else to your day than sitting in front of a computer screen for 8 hours and brief coffee brakes filled with friendly chit-chat?" She smiled at me and said: "Ben, welcome to the REAL world".

Since that day, I've embarked on a journey to rediscovering the meaning of reality and building a lifestyle where 2/3's of my time wouldn't be spent in absurdity, feeding a societal model that just sits way too far from the childhood stories I grew up listening to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess the question is what I'd most proud of at this point in my life, and my answer would then be leading a successful fundraiser that allowed a little Sri Lankan girl whose parents welcomed me into their home to get a new bone marrow and outlive a lethal genetic condition known as Thalassemia Major.
Anytime I'm feeling down, I can think of Tanuri and a smile immediately comes to my face, knowing she is happily playing with her little sister somewhere in the depth of the Sri Lankan jungle :)
