About Me

I live in Lake Forest, California applying to become a Video Game producer.

I am a rather laid back individual, yet very much a social butterfly. I love to meet and just talk with new people. Food is a huge passion, trying food mostly, yet I have worked in many restaurants and have a knowledge of food through that lens as well.

I am a flip-flop, shorts, and sunglasses kind of guy, especially if there is water. You won't see me on the shore, I'll be in the water!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think I read it best on someone else's profile, with some of my own added comments :-)

I have always said that when I travel I would prefer to see places through the eyes of those that live there, instead of what is put out for tourists. Couchsurfing is the answer to this dream. Why didn't I know about this sooner?

I love to go to the mom and pop restaurants, really just looking to get lost in culture and experience. I am not and will never be one of those who goes to an all inclusive hotel. I want to experience life when I travel, especially local life.

Interests

I am a dancer, love music of all kinds (mostly, some american country drives me nuts). As stated above I am a foodie, love to eat, love to cook, will try everything at least once.

Not a huge hiker but I enjoy short hikes, walking paths, and unexploited trails I am totally into.

My job requires me to be around people and manage groups all day. I can honestly say that I love it. I enjoy being with others, yet I am competent and fully capable of being on my own.

Huge fan of games, bar, beach, party, cards and if I don't know it I'll learn.

Music, Movies, and Books

For music I use Pandora radio, and to just list a few of my 15 most frequently played stations are: Talking Heads, Rolling Stones, Tron: Legacy, Toots and the Maytals, Today's Hits, 90s Hit, Industrial, most EDM, Flogging Molly, Infected Mushroom and AC/DC.

Movies: Love them.

Books: Currently my all time favorite book is The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield.
It discusses various psychological and spiritual ideas that are rooted in many ancient Eastern Traditions and New Age spirituality. Rooted in traveling and chance encounters with people, if you put yourself out into the universe it is likely that you'll find your way even in the darkest times.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived just outside of Kalo Nero, Greece for 3 months, in an olive grove, doing conservation work with Loggerhead sea turtles. Tagging, tracking, holding presentations to tourists, and working with the local populous to help this endangered species that nest on the shores of Greece.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my knowledge of cooking. And am happy to just chill out and talk, about life the universe and everything. (The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to help anyway I can, though I do try to travel on a budget, so monetarily I can't help out much but that doesn't mean I can't make dinner a night or keep my area clean.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Belize, Canada, England, France, Germany, Greece, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Virgin Islands, British

Countries I’ve Lived In
