I'm American and grew up in Minissota, Wisconson, and Florida. I lived in Portland for a while and after spending time on a farm in north Cali I moved to Thailand. For the last three years I've been living in Thailand and Vietnam teaching English and loving it.

I've traveled heavily through Thailand and Vietnam, and have also spent time in Laos and Cambodia and would love to talk about all the weird times I've had, or give you recommendations for an upcoming trip.

Motorcycles are transportation carte blanche and I have spent a lot of time exploring SE Asia on them. If you're into bikes, I'd love to learn more, if you're not, I'd love to try and convince you to try them out.

I am very active and love playing sports, hiking, and doing light climbing. While I'm traveling I am interested in pushing myself physically and also keeping my conscious clean about all the food and drink.

Reading is a great hobby of mine, I am currently reading a lot of nonfiction and philosophy, but my degree is in Literature so I am good for conversations.

My other hobbies include film, guitar, and digital design.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am not going to be able to spend a lot of time in Greece or Italy so I would love to connect with some cool people who have time to show me around and take me off the beaten path.

So far I've frequently been the one hosting first time visitors and showing them around, I would love to flip the table and get the royal treatment, or at least a nice place to sleep ")

Interests

Currently, I'm practicing classical guitar and have been taking Muay Thai classes for the past four months. I'm reading several historical books and getting into Hindu and Norse mythology.

For the past few weeks, I've been hosting a film club where I show people weird stuff from the internet.

Big fan of Stanley Kubrick and currently getting into Marshall Mcluhan. I listen to a lot of music that spans pretty much every decade and genre and am always looking for something fresh or unique. I am currently going through Ravel and Wagner.

Not a fan of TV.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Driven through foggy mountains in the night and rain
- Forded a 150m river with my motorbike
- Did a 1.5 week motorbike trip with a dislocated shoulder
- Ate a 1 kilo cheeseburger in 20 minutes
-Spend last fall harvesting olives in Tuscany
- Became an Eagle Scout
