ABOUT ME
I'm a friendly, easy-going guy (like 99% of people involved with couchsurfing) who loves the excitement of travel. Over the last few years I've caught the travel bug in a big way and I've spent the majority of my time on the road. I love the thrill of the unknown whether it be travelling to a new place, throwing myself in the deep end with new experiences or simply meeting new people.
I generally try to travel on a cheapish budget when I travel and enjoy the challenges which come with this. I'm the type of person who would much rather jump on a local bus or hitchhike to a destination rather than getting a taxi or flying. This is purely for the adventure of the journey and for the opportunity to meet some interesting people along the way.
I enjoy sharing my own experiences and knowledge with other people but I especially love hearing from others and learning something new. One of the main reasons which I travel to new places is to meet new people and learn as much as I can about the different ways in which people live all over the globe. Anyone can teach you something new if you just give them a chance and listen to what they have to say.

PHILOSOPHY
"Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life"
"Be true to yourself, live the life which you want to live, always do the things which make you happy."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I began couchsurfing a few years ago after hearing so many good reviews from friends. I've had some amazing experiences with the people who I have met through couchsurfing and made some life long friends. The generosity and hospitality of people you meet on the road never ceases to amaze me.
I also love having guests come and stay with me when I'm home in Melbourne. Hanging out with travellers brings a certain energy to my day and allows me to view my city through the eyes of a tourist, and truly appreciate the location I'm lucky enough to live in.
Interests
I enjoy travelling, hitchhiking, snowboarding, scuba diving, hiking, photography, meeting new people and trying the local food, beers, and spirits at the places I visit.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many things to enter into this section without just being a long list of book, movie and band names.
A quick summary - I enjoy reading and love spending time with a good book, most movie genres are fine by me, and I have a diverse taste in music particular centred towards indie, rock, alternative and chill genres.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru.
- Trekking the Annapurna region in Nepal
- Sleeping under the stars in the Sahara in Morocco
- Hitchhiking around Europe for 15 months
- Travelling to over 70 countries in the last few years since I quit my job
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Aussie slang, how to juggle, and cook you up some Aussie food (think vegemite sandwiches, chicken parmas and if you're lucky maybe a shrimp on the barbie)
I'd love to learn whatever you can teach - your language, local customs, what ever crazy hobbies you may have. I'm happy to try anything at least once.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm an expert at cleaning dishes ;) If you're kind enough to welcome me into your home I'll do my best to ensure that you don't have to wash a single dish whilst I'm around.
