Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all sorts of music; but top 3 bands I listen to are; Mumford and Sons; Blink-182; and Howard Shore... he composed the Lord of the Rings sound track.

Top 3 movies; Lord of the Rings Trilogy; Jurassic Park; Kingdom of Heaven.

I read a lot of stuff but to name some favourites; A Song of Ice and Fire, (Game of Thrones); The Hobbit; Deltora Quest (favourite book series as a kid); and 7 Ancient Wonders.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As part of my university degree I was able to go on a Western Front tour of World War I (1914-1918). For a study requirement of the tour, we had to research a soldier or nurse who served during that time and during my research I was able to track down my soldier's letters to home. I had a very surreal moment where I realised that I was holding onto the paper that he had written on nearly 100 years ago. Eric A. Tate did not survive the war nor was his body ever found. His name is honoured on the Menin Gate Memorial in Belgium.
