Hey! My name is Ben Steel and I'm an 18 year old travelholic from the idilic Devon countryside, in the south west of England. I'm trying to fit in as many fun experiences before the comparatively boring challenge of starting university next year. I currently work as a gardener saving money for my next big trip so I'm always ready to get my hands dirty when required. First time couchsurfing!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel but get a local's perspective a much as possible, to not just be a tourist. Meeting interesting people has been the highlight of any travelling I've done previously so I believe couch surfing is the perfect way for me to travel.

Most genres are fine with me as I love to study music. I enjoy listening to jazz, soft rock, but I mainly listen to this list of artists: Tori Kelly, Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Busted, McFly, John Mayer, Justin Bieber, Michael Buble, Outkast, Passenger, Kanye West, Childish Gambino.

I like most movies but favourites include: Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Batman, James Bond. More of a TV series guy at the moment : Game of Thrones, Sherlock, House, Daredevil... Etc

I'm into books based on medicine at the moment to help me in future interviews. My favourite of them is House of God
