About Me
Hi! I'm Ben, a nerd living in Cambridge, Massachusetts, which is a very good place to be a nerd. Cambridge is also a very good place to walk around, so I have extremely good knowledge of fun things to do and interesting sights to see within walking distance of my house, but relatively little knowledge of Boston beyond that.
I work for MIT, trying to explain new technologies to non-scientists, so am always interested in a cool conversation about the future! I also really like languages (though I'm terrible at learning them!) and history, and enjoy sharing weird etymologies, historical stories, or science facts. For fun, besides exploring the area, I write poetry, try my best to go hiking and rock climbing, and learn new skills.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A former roommate of mine used our spare room to host couchsurfing guests, and I always had a great time meeting them and learning about their lives, countries, languages, and stories. I'm trying to continue that tradition as best I can! I'd like to make a whole bunch of friends and eventually travel the world myself.
