Overview
About Me
I'm a Brit who has come back to the UK after living and teaching in rural South Korea since October 2016. I was fortunate enough to be able to travel around East Asia and now I am looking to explore Europe too!
Graduated with a degree in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience from UoN and finished my Masters in Cognitive Neuroscience at UCL in September 2019. Travelling and experiencing more is always a goal, and hopefully I can stumble my way through life doing the things I love and spending time with the people I care for.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a great chance to connect with real people who live and breathe the places I visit, and I find it far more exciting to learn and talk to locals and other like minded travellers than spending my time in a hotel.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is my biggest passion in life, and I'm fortunate enough to have grown up in a world of teaching and performing. Hiatus Kaiyote, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Donny Hathaway, Hiromi... Jazz, Funk, and Soul are my go-to genres, but I'll give anything a listen at least once!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2015 was a great experience, borne from a few friends daring each other to try it. A year later, and we had watched the sunrise from the summit, raising money for HOPE for Children (https://hope-for-children.org/) along the way.
(Although sunrise from Mt. Fuji was the best I've ever seen!)
Teach, Learn, Share
If there's anything musical, be it recommendations, live concerts, or instrument advice, that can be taught and learned by either you or me, then I'd love to get involved. I briefly spent time fixing all sorts of instruments which has proved useful at times!
Competitive enough to enjoy a good board game, but not so competitive it'll end with tears and a flipped table (I'm looking at you, Monopoly).
23 SCUBA dives in to a hopefully long hobby, and an Advanced Open Water Diver.
Also being English, I would say I can make a decent cup of tea, and my inbuilt sarcasm will probably shine through. Lover of Dad Jokes and bad puns for many years.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd like to think my teaching has improved so anyone who wants to learn/speak more English might benefit!
Also a shameless karaoke partner...
I'd say I was a jack of all trades and a master of none, so if you need a mediocre musician on most instruments, a semi-fit sports player, or a decent pub quizzer, I'm your guy.
Thanks for making it this far through my profile, and I hope you enjoyed it and can get to know me even better!
