About Me

Hey! So about two years ago (Jan 2014) I decided to leave the states and start travelling. Why? Why not! Since then got to see some really interesting places and do some really cool stuff, like getting my divers cert, volunteering in Nepal, travelling around China (and the usual SE Asia route) as well as getting my start doing winter season. I'm pretty much up for anything local and real keen to learn about the places I go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I do like the hostel scene, I find that the best times I have in new cities is when I actually get to meet locals and see the city through there eye. Plus, while I'm a bit interested in seeing the sites, I would so much rather check out a local dive bar or see some local bands.

Interests

I'm totally up for everything. I do love a good hike, checking out local music or art, having a drink in a dive, and food! Oh my, I love checking out new places to eat and new food!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's not much, but in between my last winter seasons I was fortunate enough to go to Nepal to volunteer for 6 weeks. During the last six weeks we actually got to live in the hillside village that we were working for and we were able to actually get to know them, hang out with them in the evenings and really be apart of the community. It was great!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love talking to people and thinking about new ideas or just trying to see things through different perspectives. I'm a wicked nerd when it comes to talking about quantum physics, but I love to talk philosophy, share my culture as well as learning about others or just talk and see where the conversation goes.

Oh I can solve a rubix cube. I can teach you to solve one too!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A drink, a laugh, and some good conversation. What else is there.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Cambodia, Canada, China, England, Indonesia, Italy, Nepal, Netherlands, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
