Overview
About Me
We've been members of couching surfing since 2012 and we can't part with our original message as it was so special to do something like that. We are now attempting to live in Almaty in Kazakhstan trying to travel for a living and taking tours to Turkmenistan. Would love to stay with people in the region as well as taking guests wherever we are.
We run a tour company through Central Asia as well called SAIGAtours. You can find us here if you're interested: www.facebook.com/saigatours or www.saigatours.com
We now have a 1 year old daughter named Sapargul, but she hasn't stopped us travelling and she's now already up to her 6th country!
CURRENT MISSION
Driving around the world
ABOUT ME
We've done alot of travels in the past, but this time we've have decided to go all out and drive from Melbourne, Australia to Scotland with two other mates. We bought a 4WD in Australia all together for the purpose of our trip, and quitting our jobs and deferring uni, took a year off for it. By the time we finish we'll have driven our Australian car through more than 40 countries. Our website is www.4guysinacar.blogspot.com.au if you'd like to have a look at our travels.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment we're not home, but we've hosted people before and happy to host again in the future. At the moment we're just looking for some good company to meet along the way for a warm bed, good conversation, a meal and companionship. Meeting locals is always the best way to discover a country, and after all, isn't that the point of travelling?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have only recently joined CS, but so far we've had some great experiences with hosts in Iran, Gerogia, Armenia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece and Albania. We used to use Hospitality Club (a similar website) and had some of the most wackiest and ridiculous experiences. We even ended up moving in with a host in Italy for a brief period of time, we got along that well. Travelling and being hosted by others always makes me excited to get home and start hosting again myself!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Having travelled to 110 countries, we have seen our fair share of amazing sights and sounds. Without question though, the most amazing sight either of us have ever seen in our lives are the flaming gas craters in Turkmenistan, the sheer beauty of the roaring fire coupled with the weird and wonderful place that is Turkmenistan. It couldn't happen anywhere else.
