About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm 22 years old, English but also half Kiwi, and originally from London. I've just finished an erasmus year in the Netherlands and will be moving back to England at the end of the summer.
I speak some french (enthusiastically but probably inaccurately) and very basic spanish
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined couchsurfing as a way to get to know people and places, and to generally have a more interesting travelling experience. I would also love to host people in the future, though haven't really been living anywhere that i can offer that these last few years.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm pretty new to couchsurfing, though I'm looking forward to meeting people and having some adventures through it
Interests
I'm a really enthusiastic, happy and easy going person who loves to travel
I try to spend as much time when i'm not at university working in or travelling around other countries.
I also really enjoy cooking - when I graduate I really want to have a food van and travel around making food and meeting new people. As well as this, i'm into snowboarding, windsurfing, surfing (though I'm a real beginner), beaches, festivals, camping, the great outdoors, evening sun, the moon, just hanging out and having some drinks

Music, Movies, and Books
i have a really broad love for music, i'm always keen to discover new stuff and always up for a chat about music - currently i'm particularly into afrobeat, jungle, jazz, reggae, funk, hip hop, dub, cumbia, psychedelia and on and on, and on and on
As a literature student, i love to read. Some of my favourite writers/books are: john fante (ask the dust, the brotherhood of the grape), haruki murakami (the wind up bird chronicle, hard boiled wonderland, norwegian wood), ernest hemingway ( the sun also rises, for whom the bell tolls), gertrude stein (autobiography of alice b. toklas) william burroughs (naked lunch, soft machine), borges (labyrinths), dostoyevsky (the idiot, crime and punishment), nabokov (lolita)
- the list keeps growing
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lots of stories that I love to to tell (hitchhiking around Morocco, avalanches in the alps)
a cool thing I've done recently is cycle from one side of the Netherlands to the other (Nijmegen to Amsterdam) in a day with a group of friends - none of us do a lot of cycling and we all had pretty rusty old bikes, but there was perfect sunshine and it was a great way to see the country
Teach, Learn, Share
I love sharing music, travel stories over a drink.
As I'm really into cooking, always looking to swap ideas for new flavours or recipes - i'd always be happy to cook with/for you too!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a really friendly and relaxed guest, happy to help out and fit in with whatever you enjoy doing, hopefully getting to know you and where you live
