Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to bring cultures together. When I was younger, about middle school age, we hosted an exchange student from Brazil at our house. It changed my life and perception of a living space. Once I discovered Couchsurfing, I was hooked.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been sleeping on couches without using Couchsurfing and have mastered the art of Housesitting. I thought, given my experience, I was qualified to begin using Couchsurfing as a semi-professional, sleep entrepreneur. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: DIY-punk, or any sort of local music. The Flaming Lips, Tom Waits and Patti Smith come to mind.
Movies: Howl's Moving Castle, Be Kind Rewind, Mulholland Drive, Yi Yi, Trainspotting, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (book too), Do The Right Thing, and Inside Job (the 2011 documentary).

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy rock climbing and bouldering, running, bicycling (and repair). Skills I could pass on include photography, media production and community organizing.
