About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy my life now not some future idea of how my life could be.
ABOUT ME
I am energetic, fun and thoughtful. I am always willing to help people in whatever way I can because I love people. I am a heart on my sleeve type of person, I don't like hiding things and being secretive. I also prefer to resolve issues when they come up opposed to letting them sit and get worse.
I live in Brookings, South Dakota but I am Canadian. I was born in Ottawa Ontario and until July 2015 I lived in Ontario.
PHILOSOPHY
Be content with your situation, no matter what. Rich or poor, healthy or sick. If you can be content with your given situation then you will live in a more fulfilling life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed Berlin, Stockholm and Copenhagen. All three hosts were great, trusting and caring people. I look forward to surfing again in the future and will recommend it to everyone. Meeting new people from different places is amazing! A truly unique travel experience.
Interests
Probably my absolute favourite thing to do is converse with people, friend or stranger. I just love talking to people. Motorcycling is probably the activity that I love the most. I also really enjoy snowboarding, I am not into tricks anymore but just going out and cruising is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable things. I have recently developed a love for cooking. I am constantly working on it and am starting to get decent. I really enjoy playing most sports and watching baseball and football. Driving is another thing I thoroughly enjoy, especially road trips. Film, my all time fav movie is Drive. I really love music as well, right now I am really into Gregory Alan Isakov, Noah Gundersen and Chet Faker. Oh I also love going fishing, there is something about just sitting out on the water chatting with some friends and enjoying nature, I don't even care if I catch anything, but it is nice every once and a while.

Music, Movies, and Books
I already mentioned a few current artists that I am really into but I like a wide array of music styles. I like most except I really do not like country. Some artists and bands that come to mind are: Ben Howard, Hey Rosetta!, Arcade Fire, M83. That is such a limited list though.
As for movies as I said before Drive is my all-time fav. I only watch it on my birthday to keep it special. A few others really high on my list are Midnight In Paris, Darjeeling Limited, and The Place Beyond the Pines. I love documentaries too. Exit Through the Gift Shop, The Barkley Marathons,
Probably my favorite book is "The Sun Also Rises" by Ernest Hemingway. I love Hemingway's writing style and am trying to work my way through his collection. "The Furious Longing of God" by Brennan Manning is an exceptional read as well. I could go on listing books for a while.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wow this is tough.
Driving California highway 1 was simply breath taking, I drove it from LA to San Francisco and it was amazing. The scenery of hills and ocean as well as the cool wildlife along the way (especially the hundreds of elephant seals in one area).
Teach, Learn, Share
Not sure what I can bring to the table. I guess I am kind of a jack of some trades and a master of none. I have passable knowledge of a lot of stuff. I suppose I can teach some basic mechanics.
I want to learn from other cultures and people, hear their ideas and thoughts on the world and life.
