About Me

CURRENT MISSION

An alternative exploration of the concious mind.

ABOUT ME

Making food, dancing, and humming tunes!

I keep myself physically and mentally busy during the day. By night I like to make food, have a beer, a nice book, and some hang-out time.

I keep things compartmentalized. In my home this translates into boxes and cabinets filled with different nick-nacks. I keep my hobbies organized and clustered in my creative space.

In my personal life this means evaluating the line between sharing and private. I like to share, but I honor my privacy.

And chocolate chip cookies :)

PHILOSOPHY

Me, Myself, and I all agree with the following statement:

The will of one person is to the will of a community is to the will of society is to the will of indifference.

I am coming to terms with the realization that I will not make a big difference in this world. I will hopefully make a few, maybe - if I am lucky - many, small differences.

I am not pessimistic, just pragmatic.

I am able to commit to a plan and leave room for interpretation. I believe in multiple wave lengths existing in simultaneous space and time. While I perceive four dimensions I believe I vibrate across many dimensions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hello past and potential surfers!

It has been awesome to host past surfers. I have hosted a few dozen people and so far so great!

I hope to foster the spirit of Hospitality. I enjoy good food, good beer, and good music. Everything else is a bonus!

If you come stay, just be yourself and do your thing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Generally awesome. I have hosted some really cool ladies and gentleman. People have been respectful of my place and time. I try to leave the outside problems outside. Surfers are pretty cool with keeping the vibes mellow.

Interests

Go, problem solving, reading, hanging in the dark, rolling grass, playing on jungle gyms, walking, sitting, standing, people watching, drinking coffee and rambling, biking, making things with my hands, massage, smelling, tasting, feeling... living life.

Sunshine, organizing, color coding, walking slowly, listening with my eyes, seeing with my ears, dancing, comic books, and yoga.

Shapes and patterns are a huge interest of mine. I am a lack-luster visual artist. I might be one of those abstract artists who is only appreciated after their death... but I will hold off on the whole death thing until I give needle point a try.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked from London to Paris on a solo journey. I took a boat from Portsmith to Le'Harve. I camped along the way, eat when I was hungry, stopped when I was tired, and walked. I left sometime in October and was cruising around Paris sometime in November.

I feel fortunate for the places I have seen. I was living on a vineyard near the Finger Lakes, N.Y., an organic farm on Kaua'i, and a house near Seattle Washington. And of course the vast plains of the great state of Texas. Cool stones in Texas.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to teach people how to play Go, do handstands and cartwheels, and... how to crack the paradigms of your mind.

I enjoy learning. I am focusing most of my learning abilities on the game of Go. Other activities I have learned include metal smiting, wood working, and yoga. All activities I still enjoy doing.

I enjoy sharing thoughts and singing songs. I find sharing silence relaxing.
