ABOUT ME

I am from Seattle, USA and have been working in Hong Kong since July 2011. I'm a teaching assistant at a British style primary school in HK's New Territories. Since moving overseas, I've thoroughly enjoyed meeting people from so many countries. I've only been active on Couchsurfing since I started hosting in May 2013, but I love the way it connects likeminded people who happen to be in the same place at the same time.

I hope to use this site both as a surfer and a host. I love meeting new people, here or there. Hosting has been wonderful, as Hong Kong seems to attract a wide variety of folks.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have nothing but good things to say about my guests. I am so glad I was able to make their time in HK a bit easier. And as for my one and only experience surfing (in Ireland), it was quite pleasant as well!

So far I've hosted people from Belgium, USA, China, France and Israel!

Interests

The list goes on forever. Music will always be number one, but also, baseball, traveling, movies, literature, badminton, hiking, learning Cantonese, teaching, thinking, sleeping, eating.

So many but I'll just name four of each. Movies: Gandhi, Field of Dreams, Amadeus and Midnight in Paris. Music: The Beatles, Elliott Smith, Joni Mitchell and Radiohead. Books: Harry Potter, Brothers K, Siddartha, The Help.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I moved to Hong Kong to work a month after graduating without knowing a single person there.
