ABOUT ME

I am currently on my 3rd gap year before university. 1 gap year accidently on purpose turned into 3 amazing years. I have spent two winter seasons living and working in the french Alps, after my first season i had a great 2 months traveling around europe and a month in America. After my second season I ended up living in the caribbean for nearly 2 months before eventually sailing accross the Atlantic to Mallorca which was an amazing experience. Since then i have been generally enjoying myself and earning money. I am going to South America for 6 months in Feb before starting university finally in September.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in making the most of the life im given. nobody knows how long their life will last so i intend to fill my life with enjoyment and i think others should do the same. There is more to life than work and money and anything is achievable if you want it enough.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When traveling in europe me and my then girlfriend couchsurfed in Portugal. At very short notice due to a lack of internet time we had 3 offers for couches in a town called Viana do costello, but we didnt realise we had so many. The guy who we stayed with rang us and invited us to stay, then we had a txt from someone we thought was him asking us when our train arrived and where to meet him. But it turned out it was someone else. Anyway long story short it turned out that the two guys new each other anyway so we met up wih them both. We had a brilliant time and David was a brilliant host, going out of his way to show us aound and make us feel welcome.

Interests

Music, sailing, skiing, rugby, cricket and most sport. And ofcourse traveling, seeing as much of the world as possible and enjoying my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailed accross the Atlantic from Antigua to Mallorca. Its an amazing feeling being in the middle of the ocean with nothing for hundreds, even thousands of miles around you. Pretty much at the mercy of the wind and the sea. You feel so insignificant. An amazing experience.
