I'm cycling round east Africa, my mission is to make it to Somlialand and hopefully have some good times along the way

ABOUT ME

After finishing Uni in 2004 I worked as an IT consultant for a few years before realising that I wasn't suited to life in a UK office. I've been in Tanzania since Jan 2008 first working as a physics teacher and now working on a project putting computers in schools. This has finished now and I'm very slowly cycling round East Africa.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm only just getting started with couch surfing at the moment. I was introduced to it after we had a surfer stay with us because my housemate offered the couch. Unfortunately I don't have a couch to offer at the moment, but when I do it will be surfable.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Still getting started, I first heard about it when a housemate of mine offered our couch to a pleasantly crazy Norweigen. Since then I've met a few great people and surfed in some interesting places.

I've was stuck in Tanzania without a source of music so I kitted myself out with a walkman and some bongo flava (Tanzanian hip hop)tapes, that constitutes my music collection at the moment.

I recently watched some lions stalk an eland - I was by myself on a push bike at the time. That was pretty amazing.
