Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We open our doors to travelers, friends, and family for all sorts of group fun. Music, food, art, dancing, hoola-hooping, gardening, hollering and conversing are all more fun when shared with new and interesting people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had a bunch of good experiences with CS (no bad ones), but the best are completely different from each other. In the first, a surfer came back for seconds and then asked if he could pay rent and just keep living with us--we said yes, and now I consider him a close, trusted friend. In the second, we hosted an entire band for a week-long music festival. We played music and danced until dawn day after day, and I can still feel the joy of one epic morning jam session years after they went home. More recently, we hosted a bunch of bicyclists who were not only amazing guests (cooking, baking, cleaning, helping out with the house!!!) but who in turn hosted us on two occasions in their home town, becoming cherished friends in the process.
Interests
I ski (telemark), dance, brew beer, run, move into stillness (do yoga), paint, write, fall down, walk, yell, and derive pleasure from sensory stimulation. And I eat my pizza with honey and hot peppers on it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Humpback whale swallows and then regurgitates a bald eagle (that flys away). Seriously.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've got a lot of crap rattling around in my head. Be careful, or I'll share it with you. (I'll come back and fill this out better some other day. It's time to eat food and then go play outside now.)
