Yo, welcome to the world of Ged. I'm a spaceman, and I love it so much that I've enveloped myself in a bubble of astrophysical qualifications! When back down on planet earth, I enjoy the simple things in life like pool, cooking and football. Being a bumpkin, I love the countryside, so I need no excuse to go to the woods, make a fire, have a bbq, camp or sit on the grass and chat/relax.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I actually met my wife through couchsurfing! So yeah, great experience!

• St. Albans possie - too many to mention!
• Met a few people in 2011 - Andrea, Louise, Odette, Marie, Natacha
• Sam, Steph, Hsyn, Jihad, Clare - Cool set of people that I met on the first official vicky park cs meet
• Claire & Caoimhe - Met this nice couple on a CS meeting (p.s not a couple!!!)
• Geoff - Nice guy who organizes some good CS meetings
• Charlie - Chatty guy met at Bath CS meeting
• Ivan - So kind. Offered me and Ylvi a bed, and breakfast on our travels through Yucatan
• Francisco - Showed me round UNAM one day. Nice guy. I still owe him a burger I think! :P
• Jason - strange character, kept boasting about his numerous foreign girlfriends
• Ylvi - Showed her round Exeter. And things blossomed from there :)

Interests

Astronomy:
The setting sun yields a deep azure,
then fades to black, revealing more.
Celestial islands bare their magnificence,
our pale blue dot assumes insignificance.
Gaze to the zenith and its ourselves we face,
majestic grandeur, I'm consumed by Space.

Hiking:
Deep-rooted yearning to the natural realm,
legs begin wondering with Ged at the helm.
Envelope the surface mile by mile,
this is my element, I am a naturephile.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

• I've saved the lives of two children that were drowning
• Walked solo from Bath to Exeter (125km) camping in woods along the way
• Backpacking in south-Mexico for a whole month with Ylvi
• Learnt Spanish
• Sat on a 60-year old volcano (Paracutin)
• I was the first ever person in history to see a number of dwarf galaxies with radio light (nerd!)
