Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To wander eastern Europe and Latin America in a 'slow-travel' way that appreciates people, culture, and scenery. To soak up community, be it locals or other travelers, while enjoying good food and views.
ABOUT ME
I like people, I'm a communitarian. I enjoy culture (my native one in the Pacific Northwest and learning about others), social issues, and progressive ideas. I'll never say no to a good beer or good meal. Outdoor recreation has a special place in my heart -- anything to do with hiking, climbing, snowboarding, or water recreation.
PHILOSOPHY
Live in a welcoming, compassionate, and respectful way. Say yes to good people and good ideas. Let the rest take care of itself.
"Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless - like water." Bruce Lee
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm starting an open-ended trip that will take me through southeastern Europe to Istanbul in. After that, I'm heading to Latin America (Colombia, Nicaragau?) for a few months of WOOFING, working, chilling, going with the flow.
Once I've re-landed in the Pacific Northwest after traveling, I'd love to open up my couch to travelers far and near.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, nothing formal. But I want to change that. Even if I don't end up surfing your sofa, I want to meet people who are in this vibrant, welcoming community.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Catch 22, The Last Season, In Dubious Battle, Emergency Sex & Other Desperate Measures
Music: Whatever you got. Almost all live music. Not a fan of metal, though.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I turned down a good, full-time job to take this southeast Europe/Latin America adventure. And I couldn't be happier for it. Human beings deserve more of a chance to just be. This is mine, and I'm taking it!
