ABOUT ME

I am a 30 year old neuroscientist employed at the University of Illinois, but living in Portland, OR. I work for a world without boundaries: for geniuses and for artists and for lovers. I love traveling and experiencing the world and the transformation in thinking and learning that comes out of those experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been couchsurfing for a few years now and have made friendships with interesting people and have had wonderful experiences through it. I've never met a couchsurfer I didn't like :-) Living near a university has given me great opportunities to host interesting people stopping by for a variety of different reasons.

Music, Movies, and Books

In all of these categories, I like things that give me shivers and make me cry for reasons I don't understand.

Books: I like science, both fiction and non-fiction. Most of the time, the book that I'm reading is my favorite book. Anything that makes me think in new ways.

Music: Chopin - Dubstep. I'm really into Beats Antique right now.

Movies: Anything cerebral

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have saved my brother's life, canoed on the amazon, and I have seen the Andes. I have climbed an active volcano and stared into hell.
