About Me

We’re a 32 yo couple who settled in this house in 11/2017.

We discovered CS when we were travelling in the US and Canada for 6 months in 2018. After being hosted by so many great personalities, we came home eager to meet new people and return the favor. You can check it out here : https://www.polarsteps.com/BenAndBea/153543-the-pacific-northwest

Basically, we're open to everyone. We have one - comfortable - spare bedroom for up to two (2) people. We won't take one night request - it's too much effort with not enough time to meet - unless we can help with an emergency. We have very different work schedules so there's often someone home to welcome you and be together.

What we both like is either travel far with our backpacks or enjoy our life at home with friends for late night meals, playing board/garden games, and also simple things such as TV nights. We're lucky to have a house close to Brussels with nature surrounding us at the same time. If you come this summer, you'll enjoy our yard for barbecues, wood games and gardening (if you like that).

We love to cook and are big wine lovers but we love eating out. We love to travel but also love our home and to work in the garden. We love going out out but we're TV show bingers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We think it's the best way to meet with locals and get the true feeling from a place. If CS wasn't free, we'd put mattresses on the floor in someone's living room rather than going to a motel for the same price.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have done multiple long autonomy treks in remote North Russia, North Sweden and in the US.

At the end of 2018 we came back from our most extraordinary experience; travelling through the West US and Canada for six months, from one national park to another.

Teach, Learn, Share

Benoit has a PhD in electrical engineering and Béatrice is a pediatric nurse specialized in preterm births.
We both know well the surroundings, Brussels (lived there for many years) and Belgium in general. We can both easily point you to places, bars and areas worth visiting. We are both comfortable in FR + ENG to help you out.
