My partner Lucy and I are a travelling duo who share a love of story-telling through writing, photography and film. We've been travelling Europe on and off for 6 years in our rusty old van. We LOVE to discover new food, new cultures, new music and sharing stories from far flung remote corners of the continent via our blog and YouTube channel.

When we're back in the UK recharging our batteries and earning money for the next adventure we love to meet people from around the world and welcome them in to our home.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We love to welcome people in to our coastal home and show people the hidden treasures of Cornwall- secret beaches and swimming spots, hidden woodland walks and sharing the history of our lovely county.
Ben got Lucy into Couchsurfing way back in 2016 and we've both been somewhat addicted since! It gives us a way to connect with likeminded people and makes us feel like we're travelling even when we're still.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've had so many amazing memories through Couchsurfing. Staying with horse-mounted herdsmen in Hungary, meeting Romani villagers in Transylvania, hiking to remote villages in Albania to meet the villagers, and even sharing some mad homegrown festival times here in Cornwall, to name just a few!

We're avid photographers, wild swimmers and massive hot spring nerds! We also enjoy hiking, reading, writing, cooking and sharing stories from the road. We're super adventurous, always up for a challenge, and always keen to try something new. Oh, and we LOVE a good party.

Movies:

Anything travel / dystopian / funny / scary / homegrown British suits us perfectly

Music:

Anything from Thievery Corporation to SHY FX, Albanian folk songs to Kurupt FM, Hendrix to Happy Mondays and everything in between. Everything gets played at some point.

Books:

We love to read books by some of our favourite explorers (Simon Reeves, Levison Wood and Ben Fogle to name a few). Ben loves politcal satire and Lucy loves travel memoirs.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

We filmed a TV show with Japanese broadcaster NHK for a series about hot springs in Europe. We co-filmed and presented whilst travelling with our van for 6 weeks from France to Greece through Italy and Albania. Getting paid to travel = dream come true!

We think there's no better way to spend an evening than sharing travel stories, whether it's around a campfire or a pot of tea.
We can cook together, walk together, swim together, discover together and hopefully laugh together.
