ABOUT ME

I am Ben. That about sums it up. I'm 20 years old, have completed the first year of a Bachelor of IT at the University of Newcastle. I'm pretty laid back (sometimes also known as lazy) and like to learn new things. I love to go to new places and my girlfriend has been harassing me about Europe. So finally we've decided to just do it and will be traveling round Europe for 5 months.

EDIT: Been there done that. Great fun.

I enjoy martial arts (got a brown belt in Shotokan Karate), scuba diving (and so want to do more), kayaking, computers, reading, hiking, waterskiing, snow skiing, listening to music, hanging with my mates and finding new gadgets to electrocute myself with.

Muzyka, filmy i książki

I enjoy all types of movies, music and books. Favourite authors would be Matthew Reilly and David Eddings. Generally I enjoy a book on an epic scale in an unimaginable universe. I enjoy listening to whatever music suits my mood, but don't have any specific favorites.

Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem(-am)

Was out on with a friend on his sailing boat and as we were cruising about a couple of whales started to come nearby. If you went into the bottom you could hear the "whale song". As the song slowly drifted off and we couldn't see any more of them surfacing we started to turn around to head home and a baby whale popped up about 1m to the left of the boat and swam around us for 5 mins or so. If we fell off the boat we would have landed on it. It was amazing, and I got it all on film too! I want to see a whale watching cruise beat that.

I like learning and have developed an ability to rapidly learn anything I find interesting/useful, having said that if I dont enjoy something, its very hard to learn (yes I failed legal studies at school).
