About Me

ABOUT ME

Madison is my hometown even though i grew up in a different city. I miss making things like i used to when i had more time. Bike riding/polo, drinking beer, gardening, and winter are some of my favorite things. I enjoy cooking for others way more than for myself. I occasionally write for the student music magazine, Emmie, and i am a volunteer gardener for F.H. King Students of Sustainability. I am also an active member in Slow Food UW-Madison.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted a few couch surfers, but more frequently I host people at my house informally. Touring bands are welcome - we do a good handful of house shows per year. I believe in promoting the arts and building community and connections, in whatever form that may be.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Summer '10 another 7,000 mile solo motorcycle ride mostly in the American Southwest.

Summer '09 I went on a 7,000 mile solo motorcycle road trip from Madison to the West Coast. Visited Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa and got hit by a blue jay-sized bird going 60 MPH. Favorite parts: driving through New Mexico, Big Sur, driving across the Bonneville Salt Flat, driving and camping 60 miles north of North Platte, Nebraska.
