Why I’m on Couchsurfing

because i believe in mutual aid and living simply and building community

when it works out to break bread or go for a bike ride together, awesome - i love it! i don't share the opinion, however, that such camaraderie is an essential, sine qua non, ingredient of CS: sometimes a brother or a sister just needs a couch for a night or two. so, i don't expect a lot of your time or attention when i travel, and i am sometimes unable to offer it as a host. if we get to hang out, awesome. if not, no worries and happy travels.

Interests

daily... good coffee, beer, and conversation... reading, reading wonderful things out-loud with friends, cooking, food not bombs, playing games, gardening/farming, hand made things, making things by hand, biking, soccer, the ocean, the mountains, traveling, staying put, speaking spanish, meeting new and wonderful people...

somewhat broadly... experiments in truth, such as: intentional communities, permaculture & natural building, co-counseling, nonviolent communication, the enneagram, gurdjieff Work, cooperative and local economics, resisting and subverting empire and the workers of war, anti-oppression, mutual aid, anarchy a la the Catholic Worker or Always Coming Home, and never again (I hope) having a job that dominates my spirit...

most broadly... liberating and life-giving personal, communal, and ecological transformation...
