My name is Bence Bartus, I'm 23 years old and living/studying in Hungary. Last year i graduated as a material science engineer, now i'm doing my master degree in the same specialization.

I have lived in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands for 3 months, and i worked there as a waiter. Until now that was my longest time spent abroad.

I am an erasmus mentor in my university for a very long time now, so even if I didn't travel so much in my life, I have tons of friends from all over the world. I love to get to know foreign openminded people, and have long conversations about their/our cultures and points of view.

From September I will spend 4 months in Lappeenranta studying at the Lappeenranta University of Technology as an Erasmus student. I'm really looking forward to it. During my stay I would like to explore whole Finland, starting with the capital, Helsinki, as i arrive there first. Hope to get a nice and friendly host who can show me the gems of Helsinki.

I'm open minded, positive, always smiling. I am very proactive, I like ridind bicycle, running, hiking in the nature.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is my first time couchsurfing in a foreign country. Hope to get new friends and I can get to know Helsinki little bit better than knowing it is the capital of Finland during a weekend.
