Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first started using CS just after college and met one of my best friends in South Africa. He and I ended up climbing Mount Kilimanjaro together months later and have been friends ever since, even though we live on opposite sides of the US. I haven't had the opportunity to use it much since then, but I'm super open to meeting new people, getting to hear about different cultures, and understanding a place from a local's perspective.
