ABOUT ME

Australian, not a surfer, 37, excessively tall and skinny, doesn't particularly enjoy olives, am bothered by the sight of naked mole rats although morbidly intrigued by them, and really hate sarcasm.

Okay, but seriously. Have been travelling the world, through roughly a hundred and fifty countries in all seven continents, for ten of the last fifteen years. I am addicted to the foreign, to marvelling, to wondering, to wandering. I love meeting people with whom I have nothing in common, and people with whom our commonalities are yet to be brought to light. Travel has been the primary passion, because it enlists me into the vicinity of good conversation and learning in a way and a volume that nothing else does. I will talk to you about geopolitics, theology, astrophysics, the state of your relationship with your suicidal ex-partner, almost anything. If you're open to it, I'll make you feel something about life, hoping it will do the same for me. Just don't expect me to cook anything remotely gourmet or discuss the pros and cons of a Kardashian's newest pair of shoes.
