About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make new friends one great beer at a time
ABOUT ME
I have pushed reset on my life. I quit my 17 year career, sold my house and most of my worldly belongings, and took off to Alaska to work for the summer. I am excited to do something different and live a simpler life with a lot less stress. I like starting conversations with random people when I am out and about by myself and have had some of the best experiences and met wonderful people by being open and curious.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in the basic goodness in humanity and that fear keeps us separate and from experiencing other cultures and being open to one another.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was really involved with the local couchsurfing community in Bend, OR and I really loved all the people I met there. It’s just a great group of people that are on couchsurfing and the type of people that I want to meet more of.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had an amazing time hosting! It has completely surpassed my expectations of just how positive an experience this is.
Interests
I pretty much love anything that takes me outdoors. I like hiking and trail running, trying to become a better photographer, drinking craft beer, and playing with my dog, Zen.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to read so it would be easier to say books that I didn't like (Mobey Dick). I try to read a classic between each modern book...hoping a little culture will run off on me. My music tastes are all over the place and I love seeing live local bands whenever possible.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked up to some waterfalls in the jungle in Columbia and dared to ride on the back of a crazy motorcycle taxi to make it to the next spot outside of Minca. I nicknamed that experience “That time I almost died but didn’t”. It was terrifying and exhilarating all rolled into one.
Teach, Learn, Share
I hope that my openness and willingness to believe in the greater good of humanity will spread to others. I want to learn as much as I can about other cultures and feel comfortable wherever I am even when I don't speak the language. I would love to share food and great beer with all those I meet.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my experiences hosting people from all over the world.
