About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Stop procrasting so I have more time to travel.

ABOUT ME

I am a photographer: bendroz.com, and live in Washington, DC. I am a skateboarder. I like learning new things. I like having intellectual conversations. I also drink, smoke, and party, but not like I used to. I enjoy music but am no buff. I like Art, and while I cannot paint or draw I enjoy it and have studied it.

I am a former Hemp lobbyist: http://socialstudiesdc.com/2011/11/dc-jobs-ben-droz-hemp-lobbyist/
Industrial Hemp is an environmentally sustainable crop that is superior to alternatives. Hemp paper is the best paper; easiest to recycle, bleach free, and produces around four times more pulp per acre than a forest. The facts vary slightly from source, Cotton requires between 1,000-2,000 gallons of water to produce one t-shirt, and represents between 10%-30% of the world's pesticide consumption. I say this because it's true and the general public should become more aware of Hemp and other sustainable solutions. I also work as Hemp lobbyist, simply because I was so passionate for years and landed my dream job.

I also work in the computer lab at my school. I'm somewhat artsy. I like to meet new people. People say I talk a lot, but they say I'm entertaining.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My profile picture is when I went to Petra. Backpacking alone got me more than I expected, and I did several things. From climbing to the top of the roof in the background to take a picture Picture to eating local chicken with rice and goatmilk (from next door) in a Bedouin village for dinner. My host, unfortunately, did not have a couchsurfing account, nor a computer. But the experience was amazing.
