I'm a keen cyclist, and most recently cycled around the coast of Taiwan in September 2019. I am always up for any adventure whether it's a hike or a quiet night at a jazz bar.

I spent a year living in Beijing and going to the weekly couchsurfing meetups remains a fond memory from my time there. Whenever I travel I have always managed to find cool people through CouchSurfing with cool ideas and life philosophies who have helped to show me that people are kind and generous everywhere.

After leaving Beijing I travelled around the world in 66 days trying to go to as many countries as I could along the way. More recently though I've tried to plan less when travelling and have found that this often leads to cooler adventures and more authentic experiences.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I joined Couch Surfing back in 2012 however never used as I was honestly quite skeptical of the concept. However, while travelling in Israel this July I met an experienced Couch Surfer whose tales of couch surfing adventures captured my imagination. So, at the end of August we embarked on a trip together using the site to find interesting people, discover new ways of thinking about the world and have more authentic travel experiences.
From this point onwards I've been sold by the platform and the wonderful people I've met through it.

Música, películas y libros

I have a completely eclectic taste in music listening to something in virtually every genre.
There are a few bands and artists I keep coming back to however, and these include Catfish and the Bottlemen, Turin Brakes, Muse, Clean Bandit and Ed Sheeran. When going out I love a good old-fashioned rave or relaxing in a jazz bar. I play the piano so I have a special fondness for piano jazz.

My favourite film is Inception for reasons I'm not entirely sure of. I think I like its exploration of the world that the mind creates as well as the power that a single idea can have in changing a person's entire story.

I'm a big fan of non-fiction books, especially about business, history, botany or psychology.

I can teach coding/programming. I'm also more than willing to attempt to share some of the cooking techniques I've learned from other people although I can't promise that it'll be successful!
I'm very interested in learning dancing however my own skill is sadly lacking at this point.
