About Me

I was born in Ghana and I think that gave me a lifelong interest in other cultures and places - although I've settled in Wales the last 20 odd years and am glad to feel I'm home here if anywhere. I'm married with two children at home, and two older daughters living away. I'm passionate about environmentalism and social justice, and love to write and perform, including in my Cabaret (Cabaret Obscura), my band (The Newly Deads) and elsewhere.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to receive guests as well as make visits, expand my community and make travel a slightly more economical and a much more enriching experience...

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a huge range of music from classical through the spectrum. Love old time music hall etc, Paul Simon, Lou Reed, Bowi and a stack of others - love listening to new music too! Best films ever are The Big Lebowski and Pulp Fiction. Love Kurt Vonnegut, Douglas Adams, Philip Pullman through to Shakespeare. Live theatre and peformance high on the list, also love museums and art galleries...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

ONE!!? This year we completed a community owned wind turbine in Fishguard - yay!! Several more next year I hope. Oh, and in 2014 we launched our album "The Kingdom of Now" in LOS ANGELES - it was awesome!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, all of the above, shared experiences, language practice, cooking, renewable energy especially community projects (I'm an expert...), always happy to get instruments out for a jam...

What I Can Share with Hosts

A comfortable sofa bed in a fairly private room in our busy family home. Company, shared meals, tips on where to go and what to see, some shared experiences, and possibly a bicycle and a lift or two in the car...

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Barbados, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Turkey, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
