About Me
CURRENT MISSION
As a Brooklyn born, African American film maker, father and generally cool gentleman my goal is to travel and create films and art with like minded people, of all colors, creeds, religions around the world.
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Brooklyn NYC and was blessed to travel around the world and the US when I was fairly young. Growing up poor in Flatbush Brooklyn I was also blessed to have a mom who encouraged me to be a film maker and artist at a very young age. I began using cameras at the age of 4 and knew after seeing Batman in 1989 that it was possible to be transported from your surroundings to a place of fantasy and wonder. After that, it was a wrap. I began creating films at the age of 12 and began working full time as a film maker at the at of 17. Again, being blessed (My name means blessed) I had 2 rockin kids and a wife by the age of 22 but the marriage did not last. She's cool and so am I. The kids are awesome, Chloe is 9 and Ben, who I delivered in the living room after his moms water broke is awesome. All in all having kids and a beautiful struggle of a career has shaped me into a strong, special individual who is in love with what he does and the people that I meet everyday. I Love the world, hate bullshit and long to travel, create and as we say in Brooklyn, get it poppin. Peace and Love, Hadley.
PHILOSOPHY
Go hard or gome home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am down for what ever and most of the time, when ever, I also am quick to get a party started if need be. I love to eat good food, cook good food, take adventures, make adventures, get into trouble, create art, climb a tree, etc etc etc etc
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have met many couch surfers in NYC but the only time I couch surfed was in Paris, 2012. I went to Cannes to check out a film that I had in participation and that week, one of my good friends passed away in NYC. Cannes was cool, I ran into a jerk who wanted to fight me but that passed and the whole time I was quite puzzled as to why I was in France. When I finally made it to Paris, I was greeted by my home girls Marie Lou and Claire in Montemare. Not only did I instantly feel at home but I was surrounded by a Love that has not left me since. I have met so many amazing people through couch surfing. I can confidently say that I have many homes and many family members throughout the world through couch surfing. Peace!
