I am a slightly nerdy, deeply thoughtful guy, more introverted than extroverted, not comfortable in large crowds, but I do enjoy meeting people, talking to them, getting to know them, and yes, having them challenge my view points, as well. I have done far too little travelling in the past, and I'm now trying to catch up a little bit. Politically, I always try to stay in the centre, which is not at all easy (not least because the centre isn't fashionable) - but in my view, both the moderate (!) left and right provide valuable insights, and I try to respect and consider both. I am an optimist. I believe our world is a good one. And even though some people seem hellbent on changing that, I think we should not ignore/dismiss the good that still prevails. As a German engineer living in Switzerland, I am, of course, meticulous about (almost) everything I do, so if you do host me, I will leave your place at least as clean as it was before.
