About Me
CURRENT MISSION
don't care about what others could think about you
ABOUT ME
Hi everyone! =)
My name is Benedikt, I'm 28, cycling and coffee addict :D
Right now I’m accompanying my friend Quentin at his “Detour de France” bicycle trip. I've always enjoyed to meet new people and discover new countries, cities and places. Because I think it's important to know something about the world and its people.
I'm a nativespeaker in german, can speak fluent english, know the basics in Spanish.
I do a lot of sports but I have to be in the right mood and well I'm not that talented :D In bigger groups I can appear to be a bit shy and guarded but as soon as I'm in a face to face conversation your view will completly change :D
Sometimes people say I'm childish but I don't care :D
PHILOSOPHY
learn from the past, live today and look forward for tomorrow.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To be honest, I was bored one evening, surfed through the internet and there I read about couchsurfing.
I got more and more interested about it and so I joined a meeting near my place.
It was kind of awesome, many different people, from many different countries with various backrounds, came together to have a drink or two, sit together, have a talk, enjoy eachother, exchange stories and much more.
Although the first meeting I was a good while ago I never get enough of those =)
Interests
At first there are sports. I workout several days a week. In winter or on rainy days I usually hit the gym, climbing park or the pool. In summer and on warmer days it gets more varied, from cycling to playing football/soccer or to meet up for an relaxed game of volleyball =)
So I either have to move or to relax, enjoy the landscape, the evening-air on the beach or the hillside and have a poetic talk :D
Sometimes I just go for a ride on my biclycle and talk to randem people I meet in the streets :D
Although I don't have any clue about architecture, I like buildings, doesn't matter whether they are old or new.
So I also enjoy being in cities, because for my every city has its own kind of spirit.
Depending on the people, how it is structured, in which area it lays.
And I just never get bored of wandering through streets and sideways I've nerver been to befor.

Music, Movies, and Books
the music depends on my mood but in general everything :D
The range of music I like lasts from energetic salsa music to rock, from folk-punk (e.g. flogging molly) to electronic and ballads.
Its quite the same with movies, there isn't one paricular type of movies, I just have to say that I enjoy most movies which make my laugh :D
With books its different, there I mostly read fantasy/si-fi books, and also I like longer stories/series like Harry Potter, Eragon, Lord of the Rings, Hunger Games and so on =)
Edit: I’d like to read way more than I actually do.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked the Half Dome *_*
Teach, Learn, Share
I've got a wide knowledge about exercise, nutrition and motorbikes which I like to share.
Also I'm quite good with maths, physics and economics but I don't know how good I am in teaching them in english or even spanish :D
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook and bake, I'm not hesistant when it comes to cleaning and although I'm not a craftsman I can admit that I'm not totally unfit in mending things =)
