About Me

I was born in the Czech Republic and lived there for two years before moving to England with my mother, who is Czech, and my English father. I've grown up in England but still see relatives and visit the Czech Republic when I can. I speak English and Czech fluently, though my Czech can be a bit rusty as I rarely speak it. I also speak German and French to an upper intermediate level, as well as basic Spanish, which I am trying to improve!

After packing in a Law course at uni which I wasn't enjoying, I returned to university to study Theology and Religion. Quite a turnaround! I'm loving the new course but can't wait to get travelling again! Interested in writing, both online travel writing/blogging and perhaps a novel in the future, and journalism.

I realised that there's more to life than the cookie-cutter 9-5 life, and really, that isn't what I want for myself. I have found that I need to live for today and worry about tomorrow when it comes. And there's always more to see!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people who also have a thirst for travel and new experiences! There are so many people out there who have experienced so many different things and I believe that we can all learn from each other, and make new friends along the way!

I don't just want to be a tourist. I want to experience the real cultures and lives of the people in the places I travel to, and give back to them as I pass through!

Interests

I am currently trying to grow my travel blog - I've written about my past travels and current plans here, so take a look if you're interested!
