Overview
About Me
My name is Benedikte, 21, and I'm a medical student from Denmark.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One thing I learned during my stay in PA, was how amazing it is to see things from the locals perspective. I find it more attractive to eat at a local restaurant and see corners of the town/city - that I'm visiting - than being there as a 'tourist'. Overall I just think people are able to see another perspective of things, if they meet the locals.
I would like to make friends for live!
Interests
Well, I have a lot of interests! But traveling and seeing the world is definitely my favorite! I love the outdoors! In Denmark we ride our bikes everywhere - I really wanna bike across America!! I love hiking - hiking the Angels Landing trail in Zion is the most amazing thing I've ever done!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like almost every kind of music (except heavy metal). What I listen to depends on my mood. However during my stay in PA I fell in love with country music.
Comedy movies and fantasy books!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Oh boy, it's really had to come up with ONE amazing thing, but if I have to pick one, then it has to be my exchange year. I was an Rotary exchange student in Pennsylvania from 2011-2012. I loved every moment of it and I still keep in contact with the amazing people I met during my stay. After returning home I received the "Outstanding Student Award" because of my ability to serve as an ambassador for my own country.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a lot of things about Denmark. From danish history to famous Danes - I can cook traditional Danish meals - I can tell about the 'must see' places in Denmark, and so much more. But I am also a good listener, and I love stories! Both personal and stories/history from the area, which I'm exploring.
