ABOUT ME

I am a New Yorker. I just found this out last week when I was travelling in another US state: I met some people on the way, and they did not accept Hungary as an answer to the 'Where are you from?' question.

So yes, I am a New Yorker. And, like many other people in this city, I do have a serious job, a non serious personality. For the first part, yes, I work in one of those high rise buildings, in large open space with 400 other people and do very serious stuff from early morning to late night. For the second part, I do many sports: swimming, paragliding, yoga, some martial arts, trying to limit my paper bag and meat consumption. Back in Hungary, I was singing in some funky choires (Soharoza / Halasto), for which I have not found the proper substitutes in NYC yet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

St Petersburg, 2008.

In a city we have not been before and did not know, we handed our bags over to some guys we met just couple of hours before and boarded a bus that took us to a remote village through the dark October night.

But finally, we did arrive to the village, where our bags, and -more importantly- our nice CS host Nastja and her family were already waiting for us.

This was my first CS experience, and ever since I am always surprised by the fact that couchsurfing works, and when I realize it does, I do not understand why the rest of the world is not doing it.
