I'm a real character, with a ton of great stories to tell. I work as an artist and was an immigration counselor in a former life. I am an intellectual as well as comedian. I am somewhat of an ambivert, in that, I can be both boisterous and extroverted, as well as, reserved and introverted. I love a good conversation or big laugh. I love to listen music, and am always looking for a good concert, or a new band. I love art, and am always looking for a good opening or cool museum. (on a roll now, lets keep this going) I love food, and am always interested in eating delicious new snacks. I love the outdoors and am always looking for a hidden swimming hole to gorgeous mountain views. I love to travel and have lived in Italy, and briefly in France. I grew up in the Appalachian mountains of Virginia and studied at Roanoke College.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When traveling I prefer to live like a local and attempt to avoid looking like a tourist as much as possible. I love meeting new people and experiencing things I wouldn't find on my own.

Interests

I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and camping. I have a BA in international relations, and am interested in history and social sciences. I love stimulating conversation and love hearing about different points of view and am love to explore the world by listening to other peoples stories. I work as painter and have work shown in Italy, as well, as the US. I love to eat so therefore it is essential to know how to cook, I worked in a natural foods restaurant, I specialize in inventing new dishes based on what I have available.
