ABOUT ME

Well, I like to think of myself as an easy going guy who's keen to meet new people and gain new perspectives on life. Since I first travelled on my own to Canada in 2004 I've had the travel bug and have done Contiki trips to Europe, a few trips to the States, a quick stopover in Japan and most recently spent a wonderful month in regional France, where I am saving to return to in 2011! Always keen for a coffee or a drink with travellers who want to meet new people!

Take a chance for the things that you want, whether it be exploring the world, or love or anything else that is in your heart. If you truly desire it, it is worth the effort.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At this stage I am offering coffee or a drink to travellers who would like to meet locals during their stay, but in future would be willing to offer a couch to 'surf' on. As I've only just joined I'm still getting used to the whole idea...but am certainly willing to broaden my knowledge and circle of friends, as well as hear awesome stories from other travellers!

Interests

I love movies and have tried to go as often as I can...my DVD collection at home is rather expansive!! Recently I have taken up karate and love it...a great way to get some exercise and get some self confidence and fulfilment! In particular I enjoy the challenge of the sport, and the fact that I am having to relearn some things to become better skilled.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lord of the Rings, Blade Runner, The Good the Bad and the Ugly is a start. I also have a strong appreciation of many animated movies, particularly recent, for their pure creativity. Lately I am reading the Sword of Shannara book series and am about to read P.G Wodehouse's Jeeves and Wooster novels.
