About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be as engaged and engorged with all the goodness of this gorgeous life

ABOUT ME

Hmm, I love meeting people from just about everywhere. I've been balancing getting an edumacation and backpacking for the last ten years, bouncing between Portland, Oregon and the rest of the world.
I'm all about taking chances, putting myself in the uncommon, and challenging the norm.

PHILOSOPHY

"There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in." Leonard Cohen
"The unexamined life is not worth living"--Socrates?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had some folks stay at my place in Seoul and in Greece. Look forward to staying with people around the world as I kick off the unfettered traveling chapter of my life.

Interests

Traveling has always been in my blood, it just seems to have reached a boil over the past decade. My 1st experience with independent travel was a 5 week trip into South Mexico and Guatemala at the age of 22, and since then I've tried to see as much of the world as possible.
My passions in life are coffee, bikes and rickshaws, trying to stay off the grid as much as I can, willing myself up mountains, sustainable practices, guerrilla gardening, documentaries, animal husbandry, and fostering a more compassionate world. Traveling in India really fired up my interest in photography as well, and any day I get to snap some photos is alright with me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering to teach English at Boudhanath, Nepal to Tibetan Refugees. The generosity and kindness of the Tibetan people is without compare and indelibly etched on my soul. Scuba diving off the Bay Islands of Honduras, climbing the Himalayas in Nepal, and meeting a certain "friend" in Calcutta after an unforgettable 46-hour train ride from the Southern tip of India were all amazing experiences as well.
